Dear Paws "R" Us,
I just thought that I would write this letter, to let you know how our Golden Retriever is doing. As I may have already told you, we decided to call her Shelby. My wife liked that name, even though I had a different one picked out. I had thought of Tasha, but I think with her that Shelby is better. When we brought her home that day she was really good. I was quite surprised at how well she behaved in the car. I was expecting her to whine and be a little bit hyper, but she wasn't. She moved around a little bit, but other than that she laid her head down on my lap and enjoyed the ride. The first few nights were a little bit hard for her, but after that she really adapted. Like I had expected, the first night she whined and whined, but each night got better. Now she will even sometimes go downstairs and walk right into her kennel. Last night I was looking for her, and there she was, laying in her bed. She goes to the vet next week for her other set of shots, and for a check up. We are planning to have her spayed in Steptember. Our vet told us that around five to six months of age is the best time. Shelby has been really good to train too. Within the first week she had learn to go to the door when she wanted outside. Of course she still had the occasional accident, but done very well. She even learned to sit and lay pretty quick. She doesn't do it on every command, but still quite frequent. Even when we take her for a walk, we are teaching her to sit at the curb until we decide it is safe to cross. My Mother and Aunt took her for a walk the other day and they said she sat at every corner. The only command she seems to be having difficulty with, is to shake a paw, but I am sure it will come. We have sent along some pictures, so you can see how she is growing. Currently she is about 22lbs. and growing. When we take up another roll of picture's we'll send more your way. Hi Nicole I'm writting you to give you an update on Disney. Well, it's been a week since I've had him and he now knows how to SIT, Down, and when I take him for walks, he carries his leash back home. He is sooo SMART and a quick learner. I take him for walks on the boardwalk at Science North and I tell he turns alot of heads. Everyone notices him and ask if they can pet him. He's funny when he plays with one of my cats (he's the same size as Disney) and he plays with him like he's a puppy. I'll take pictures of him and the cat playing together and I'll probably send them to you by next week. Anyways I gotta go cause Disney's on the bed beside me and he is whinning cause he wants down. Hi Everyone at Paws R Us! I just thought I'd send you a picture of our puppy that we got from you. "Oscar" our Pappillon is now 5 months old and he keeps us on our toes. His likes include his favourite teddy bear and watching movies on the couch (I swear!) His dislikes are few but he hates to get wet. He must stop and meet everyone who passes him on the street and loves any dog he meets. We are very pleased with Oscar and Jeff and I thank you so much for him. Yours truly, Sarah and Jeff

Hi there; I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know how our new baby is adjusting to his new home. I tell you how impressed we are with him....he is absolutely amazing!! We had initially bought a kennel for him to sleep in during the night....well, he hates it. So, we tried putting a bed for him in our room and everynight since the beginning, he goes to bed at 11:00 and doesn't stir until approx. 7:00 a.m. in the morning. Without any accidents also!! He is so good in the car as well. He slept all the way home from you place, only looking up occasionally for little pet on the head once in a while. He has made several new friends in the neighbourhood. All the kids in the area come over often to play with him. He is on a very strict routine right now. He eats at 8:00 am, noon, 4:00 pm and then again at 8:00 pm. After each meal he goes for a walk and then another walk at about 10:30. In doing so, he has had only a couple of accidents in the house. He definitely knows the word "no". Whenever I catch him doing something he shouldn't be doing, I just tell him firmly, "no" and he always stops what he's doing and walks away. Again, I can't believe how well he is adjusting. It's obvious that this is coming from his early upbringing! Thank you so much for an incredible puppy! I will forward pictures of him soon. Hi Charlene, I'm writing to let you know that Dobby (we named Dobby after the small elf with long ears in Harry Potter) is doing just fine. Actually, I should say really well! The little rascal slept on my laps all the way home in the car. No shaking, no stress, nothing...except maybe some fingers licking. :o) On his first evening home, Dobby got accustomed to the apartment really fast and started exploring the place in not time. After a while of exploration and relaxing on our laps, he discovered his favourite toy which happens to be a stuffed Taco Bell Chihuahua that Miguel gave me a while ago. Dobby loves that toy! Last night and this morning, Dobby also drank water, had food, evacuated on his pad in the kitchen. He slept quietly through the night from around 10:30 until 4 am when he whined a little bit (I was already awake...just incase he'd need me...I know, I'm terrible), then he had food, water and started playing! Dear Nicole
Just thought I would write you a letter, letting you know how Shelby is doing. Shelby went into the vet a few weeks ago to be spayed. Our veterinarian suggested that we have her spayed before she turns six months and goes into her first season. We had some friends tell us that once she was fixed she would probably clam down. Well they were wrong, she's still as hyper as ever. I thought that the following day she might at least be a little sluggish, but I was wrong too. My wife Lorie went to pick her up at the vet and she said she came right out like she never had an operation. Last Thursday Shelby received her participation certificate for obedience school. It was every Thursday night for an hour, for six weeks. We learned some valuable information to train her. I try to keep pacticing with her, and she seems to do well. There are some things that she doesn't like doing but I keep at it with her. I signed us up for the advanced course which starts next Thursday. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I have sent along some more picture's for you. Most of the pictures she is around four and a half to five months old.
